Cast Iron Piston Rings

Cast Iron Piston Rings are necessary for applications with heavy shock conditions. They do not create the complete seal that a rubber or urethane seal would, but can withstand much higher shocks. The groove MUST be at least .001" wider than the piston ring and .015" deeper than the piston ring is thick. Additionally the radial clearance between the cylinder bore and piston should be less than 1/3 of the radial wall thickness.
