Braided Packing
We stock the two most commonly used braided packings also known as rope packing. 1) Style PM # 1 - A square braided (plaited) PTFE impregnated special syntex fiber, each strand is impregnated with PTFE dispersion both prior to and after braiding. Finished packing has a break-in lubricant. Good chemical resistance, and can be used as an asbestos replacement packing for general service applications. 2) Style PM # 2 - A square braided Graphite packing. A syntex fiber packing throughly impregnated with a high temperture lubricant. Finished packing is coated with Graphite. An asbestos replacement for general service on pumps & valves.
