Inch O-Rings
An O-Ring is a torus, or doughnut shaped seal primarily used for sealing. It functions as a seal through the mechanical deformation of the elastomeric compound by mating metal surfaces. This creates a condition of "zero" clearance which blocks the escape of the gas or liquid being sealed. The pressure or "squeeze" generated by the liquid itself. O-Rings are made in many materials and durometers to meet specific applications, such as: Buna, Viton, EPR (EPDM) Silicone, Teflon, Polyacrylate, Neoprene, Kalrez, Chemrez, Aflas to name a few. Most common durometers are: 70 & 90 +/-5 AS 568 is the Aerospace size standard for O-Rings from the Society of the Automotive Engineers (S.A.E.) Rocket Seals offers O-Rings in metric, American standards and custom spliced & vulcananized. Please specify material & durometer when ordering. Note: some minimums may apply.
