Purple Maxx® is thicker and denser than most other PTFE tapes and can be used in virtually any application up to 10,000 psi. It provides a tight seal while providing natural lubrication to prevent damage to the threads. It is resistant to most common chemicals and is rated for temperatures from -450°F to +550°F. Purple Maxx® can be used in virtually any application (except Oxygen). It can also be used in gas lines where local codes do not require yellow gas line tape. Purple Maxx® is a proprietary product made by a domestic manufacturer, TFCO, Inc. Its unique color prevents it from being confused with lighter tapes. Available I ¾” and ½” widths
