Custom O-Rings

Rocket Seals is an industry leader in the production of custom O-rings. Also known as a packing or toric joint, an O-ring is a gasket in the shape of a torus or doughnut that is designed to prevent the passage of liquids or gasses.  It is a loop of elastomer with a round cross-section that is seated in a groove to form a seal.  Typically, O-rings rest in the middle of a gland until pressure begins to rise in the sealing system.  When this happens the O-ring shifts away from the pressure and is squeezed to fill the hole between the two mating hardware pieces.  O-rings can be employed in both static or dynamic applications.
