Viton FKM
Rocket Seals, Inc. is a leading distributor of Viton and FKM O-rings — metric and standard.
Viton® is a registered trademark name of the Chemours Company, a brand of synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer, and the material is also known as Fluorocarbon or FKM.
Standard Durometer & Colors
The standard durometer is 75 and 90 and is made in Black or Brown.
Temperature Range for Viton O-Rings
The temperature range is generally -15°to 400°F.
Recommended Use of Viton FKM:
FKM has good wear resistance, excellent compression set resistance, moderate short-term resilience, and excellent permeation resistance. It has good resistance to petroleum products and a wide spectrum of chemical compatibility.
- Vacuum
- Most Acids and Chemicals
- Halogenated Hydrocarbons
- Di-ester Lubricants
- Petroleum Oils and Fuels
- Silicone Oils and Greases
- FKM has excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics, and many organic solvents and chemicals.
Not Recommended For:
- Ketones
- Auto and aircraft brake fluids
- Amine (ammonia)
- Acetone
- Skydrol
- Ethyl Acetate
- Hot Water, Steam, and Low Molecular Esters and Ethers
- Low-temperature resistance is normally not favorable and for static applications is limited of approximately -15°F. Under dynamic conditions, the lowest service temperature is between -5°F to 0°F.
We offer same-day shipping and perform quality checks on every order.
